Castvana privacy policy

Castvana is a Windows app from Wicked System Studio. In short: everything stays offline on your device. Castvana does not collect, store or send any of your data.

Your files

The financial statements you import (PDF, Excel, CSV or pasted tables), the prior year statements you attach and any logo you upload are read and processed only on your computer. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

What is saved on your device

Castvana saves the set you are working on, up to three recent sets, your settings (such as Simple or Advanced mode) and, for PDF imports, a copy of the source PDF used for casting report extracts. These are kept in the app's own storage on your PC in %APPDATA%\Castvana (File > Open data folder). Uninstalling does not delete this folder; you can delete it yourself at any time.

No data collection

Castvana has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no automatic updates of its own. The app blocks network connections from its window, so it does not connect to the internet while you work. The only links that leave the app are the website and email links in the Help menu, which open in your own browser or email app when you click them.

Exports

When you export a PDF, a casting report (PDF, CSV or Excel) or a JSON copy of a set, the file is saved where you choose on your computer. What you do with it afterwards is up to you.

Microsoft Store

If you install Castvana from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, installation and any purchase under its own privacy statement. We do not receive personal information about you from this.

Children

Castvana is a business tool and does not knowingly process children's data.

Changes

If this policy changes, for example if a future version adds an optional feature that uses the internet, we will update this page and say so clearly in the app first.
